KAZAN, November 15. /TASS/. Russia sees prospects in creating new joint liquefied natural gas (LNG) and oil and gas chemical projects with Chinese companies, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said at the Sino-Russian cooperation forum.
"An important area is development of joint projects in the sphere of gas liquefaction and its global supplies. We have two major projects - Yamal LNG and Arctic LNG 2, where the Chinese majors participate. Deliveries to the People’s Republic of China are already being made," the official said.
"We see the potential new projects here that can be implemented together either in the natural gas liquefaction sphere or in the oil and gas chemistry sphere," Novak noted.
Russia and China have agreed recently to cooperate in the hydrogen production sphere, the Russian deputy prime minister said. "This is a new area that can potentially have the demand in the future," Novak added.
