MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. Russian cybersecurity company Kaspersky Lab completed testing of a smartphone running KasperskyOS in the Magafon laboratory, the company told TASS.
"KasperskyOS for Mobile was tested in accordance with the laboratory testing program, which included over 250 test cases," according to a statement from Kaspersky Lab. The company stressed that the initiative allowed to collect the necessary information for future development, which will help to accelerate the introduction of KasperskyOS devices to the market.
"We see opportunities to use KasperskyOS on a variety of corporate devices, including not only smartphones, but also tablets, Internet of Things gateways and connected cars, in other words, anywhere wireless communication is used," Dmitry Lukian, head of the KasperskyOS business division, said.
The mobile operating system was tested on a smartphone manufactured by an Asian company. The device was tested for compliance with the 3GPP mobile communications standards and for proper operation in Russia's 2G, 3G and 4G networks when performing basic operations such as transferring data, making calls, sending SMS messages and switching between mobile communications technologies.
