Russia says its paratroopers destroyed two Ukrainian fighting vehicles in Zaporozhye

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the battle took place near the settlement of Verbovoye

MOSCOW, December 3. /TASS/. Russian paratroopers have struck two Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles near in the Zaporozhye Region, the Russian Defense Ministry told TASS.

"Well-aimed artillery fire and a shot with a Kornet guided missile helped paratroopers to destroy two infantry fighting vehicles of Ukrainian formations with crews inside," the ministry said.

The battle took place near the settlement of Verbovoye, it said. According to the Defense Ministry, the vehicles were on their way to attack Russian military positions.

Earlier reports said Russian paratroopers in the Kherson Region destroyed a Ukrainian landing force that was preparing to attack the eastern bank of the Dnieper.
