Kazakhstan negotiating increase in oil supplies to Germany — minister

ASTANA, October 27. /TASS/. The Energy Ministry of Kazakhstan is holding talks on increasing oil supplies to Germany over the Druzhba oil pipeline to two mln metric tons per year, Minister Almassadam Satkaliyev said at a briefing.

"The German side expressed interest in the increase of volumes of Kazakh oil deliveries during the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Germany. Negotiations, coordination are currently underway with the Russian side as regards supporting Kazakh oil transit via the territory of Russia, and with refineries on their ability to take oil," the minister said.

Supplies can be up to two mln metric tons per year, Satkaliyev noted. The volume will be finalized in conclusion of talks.
