Russia plans to boost coal supplies to Asia-Pacific in 2023 — official

According to the Energy Ministry, Russia reduced coal exports by 1% annually in 2022 to 221.2 mln metric tons

MOSCOW, March 15. /TASS/. Russia plans to scale up coal exports to Asia-Pacific countries in 2023, Deputy Energy Minister Sergey Mochalnikov told reporters.

"Coal exports to countries of the Asia-Pacific Region stood at slightly more than 140 mln metric tons in 2022. We expect a minor increase in 2023," the Deputy Minister said.

According to the Energy Ministry, Russia reduced coal exports by 1% annually in 2022 to 221.2 mln metric tons.
