MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. The cost of the summer holiday in Russia will grow by 15% in annual terms in 2023, President of the Russian Tourism Industry Union Ilya Umansky told reporters.
"Prices have already surged by 15% on the domestic market. Several factors influence pricing as regards the outbound tourism. We should not forget the exchange rate change in additional to the overall rise in prices on the suppliers’ side. We have again entered the phase of foreign currency growth against the ruble and therefore it is not possible to accurately forecast this parameter. Probably, the projection should be that holidays overseas will definitely become more expensive by the same 15-20%," Umansky said.
Prices in the tourism industry are dynamic and change depending on the seasonal factor and the pace of sales," the expert added.
