National Settlement Depository recognizes emergency due to EU sanctions

NSD suspends operations in euro in banking operations

MOSCOW, June 3. /TASS/. The National Settlement Depository (NSD) recognizes the emergency situation in depositary and banking operations after being hit by EU sanctions, the depository said on its website.

NSD does not introduce further restrictions in depositary operations as at June 3, 2022. At the same time, NSD suspends operations in euro in banking operations.

"Money debiting/crediting operations in other foreign currencies are performed as usual. We recommend crediting of foreign currency at NSD correspondent accounts subject to the analysis of risks of such crediting," the depository said.

NSD will continue promptly updating clients on development of the situation, it added.
