Russia’s oil and gas supplies continue, facing difficulties — Deputy PM

In the first instance, the sector faces difficulties of financial and logistical nature

MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. Export supplies of Russian energy resources continue in full scope but with difficulties, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters.

"Our supplies, support of global energy market continue in full scope under concluded contracts for supply of gas, supply of oil and petroleum products," Novak said.

The sector faces difficulties of financial and logistical nature in the first instance, the official noted. The European Union introduced the embargo against two Russian state-owned companies, while the US and the UK banned oil import from Russia, Novak said.

"Nevertheless, restructuring is taking places, logistical chains are changing. All these points leave their mark on operations, on delays, on redirection of products to new markets. The sector is nevertheless working in general," he added.
