Facebook, Telegram have 60 days to pay fines after court verdict comes into force

In 60 days, the ruling on enforcement of the court’s decision will be sent to bailiffs

MOSCOW, September 16. /TASS/. Facebook and Telegram must pay administrative fines within 60 days from the date the court’s ruling comes into force, after the expiration of this term the court will ask the bailiffs to levy the penalties imposed on the companies, a court official told TASS.

"The term for voluntary payment of fines is 60 days. After that the ruling on enforcement of the court’s decision will be sent to bailiffs," the official said.

For Facebook the deadline for the payment of fines to the tune of 17 million rubles ($236,341) expires on October 19. The deadline for eight more orders to the tune of 26 million rubles($358,404) is September 28.

As for Telegram, the deadline for the voluntary repayment of fines worth 5 million rubles ($68,923) under two resolutions that came into force, is October 24. Fines for three more rulings in the amount of 7 million rubles ($96,485) must be paid by November 7.
