Dollar surpasses 74 rubles Moscow Exchange, first time since May 17

The dollar increased by 1.05% and reached 74.23 rubles

MOSCOW, July 6. /TASS/. The dollar increased by 0.81% to 74.05 rubles on the Moscow Exchange on Tuesday.

The last time the dollar rate was above 74 rubles on May 17, 2021.

By 17:33 Moscow time, the dollar rate accelerated its growth to 1.05% and reached 74.23 rubles. At the same time, the euro rose to 87.9 rubles (+0.8%).

The price of August futures contract for Brent oil on London’s ICE fell by 2.24% to $75.43 per barrel. WTI crude oil fell by 1.21% to $74.24 per barrel.
