Ukraine loses up to 260 troops, one tank in responsibility area of Battlegroup South

Units of Battlegroup South took more advantageous military lines and positions in 24 hours, inflicted damage on troops and equipment of three mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army lost up to 260 troops, a tank and two ammunition depots in the responsibility area of Russia’s Battlegroup South in the past 24 hours, battlegroup spokesman Yevgeny Tretyakov said.

"In 24 hours, the enemy lost up to 260 troops wounded and killed. A tank, four armored combat vehicles, five cars, two field branch artillery weapons, including a 105mm L119 howitzer, and two ammunition depots were destroyed," he said.

Units of Battlegroup South took more advantageous military lines and positions in 24 hours, inflicted damage on troops and equipment of three mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army, territorial defense and national guard brigades of Ukraine near Katerinovka, Ivanopolye, Konstantinovka, Zarya, and Malinovka, the spokesman added.

Battlegroup West

"Over the past 24 hours the enemy lost up to 230 troops and three pickups. Three Ukrainian troops yield themselves prisoners. In counterbattery warfare, Russian forces destroyed a US-made 105mm M101 weapon and six mortar squads of the Ukrainian army. Air defenses eliminated 24 fix-wing unmanned aerial vehicles of the enemy. Moreover, 23 unmanned aviation control posts, an electronic warfare station, and a field ammunition depot of the enemy were destroyed," battlegroup spokesman Ivan Bigma said.

Units of Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted damage on groups of two mechanized and one air cavalry brigades of the Ukrainian troops, a territorial defense brigade near Shapkovka, Torskoye, Kondrashovka, Grigorovka, and Yampole, the spokesman added. On the previous day the battlegroup’s units liberated the settlement of Krasnoye Pervoye in the Kharkov Region.

Battlegroup North

"In the Belgorod area units of Battlegroup North inflicted damage on troops and equipment of two mechanized brigades, a territorial defense brigade and an assault regiment of the Ukrainian army near settlements of Krasnopolye and Ugroyedy of the Sumy region. The enemy lost up to 60 troops, an armored combat vehicle, six cars, and six field branch artillery weapons, including a Poland-made 155mm Krab self-propelled artillery system," battlegroup spokesman Yaroslav Yakimkin said.

Battlegroup East

"In 24 hours, the enemy lost up to 120 troops, two Kozak armored combat vehicles, and three cars. In counterbattery warfare, Russian forces destroyed four field branch artillery weapons, including two produced in NATO countries, as well as an ammunition depot. Air defenses downed six fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," battlegroup spokesman Alexander Gordeyev said.

Units of Battlegroup East continued advancing deep into the enemy’s defense line, inflicted damage on troops and equipment of groups of a mechanized brigade, brigades of territorial defense and national guard of Ukraine near Shevchenko, Konstantinopol, and Zelenoye Pole, the spokesman added.

Battlegroup Dnepr

"Units of the battlegroup inflicted damage on formations of a mechanized brigade, two coastal defense brigades of the Ukrainian army and a territorial defense brigade near Novodanilovka, Lobkovoye, Stepnogorsk, Novopokrovka, and Antonovka. More than 85 troops, a tank, six cars, two artillery weapons, and three ammunition depots were destroyed," battlegroup spokesman Roman Kodryan said.

Battlegroup Dnepr continues carrying out military tasks of the special military operation, the spokesman added.

"Units of the group improved their tactical position. Damage was inflicted on formations of two mechanized, one assault brigades, and an assault regiment of the Ukrainian army near Novosergeyevka, Kotlino, Krasnoarmeysk, Petrovskoye, and Novoaleksandrovka. The Ukrainian armed forces lost more than 520 troops, two tanks, an armored combat vehicle, six cars, and four field branch artillery weapons, including a 105mm M101 howitzer," spokesman for the group Alexander Savchuk told reporters.
