DONETSK, March 6. /TASS/. More than 20 Ukrainian troops, several combat vehicles and an artillery system were eliminated by Russia’s Battlegroup East with the use of an Uragan multiple launch rocket system in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the Russian defense ministry said.

"An Uragan multiple launch rocket system crew wiped out a militant stronghold using high explosive ammunition. The enemy lost more than 20 troops, two pickup trucks, and an artillery system," it said.

According to the ministry, soldiers of the Russian 40th marine brigade are advancing north of the settlement of Velikaya Novoselka, eliminating the enemy’s firing positions and control centers.

"We hit the enemy rear units, strongholds, manpower - we target logistics lines and vehicles, as well as artillery systems to make it easier for our troops," the ministry cited a serviceman with a callsign Lyuty.
