Trump lacked excitement at meeting with Zelensky in Paris — media

According to The New York Post, Zelensky "appeared visibly uncomfortable in a photo op inside the Elysee next to a stone-faced Trump"

NEW YORK, December 8. /TASS/. US President-elect Donald Trump's meeting with Vladimir Zelensky at the Elysee Palace failed to elicit any reaction from the Republican, leaving Zelensky visibly displeased, The New York Post reported.

According to the newspaper, Zelensky "appeared visibly uncomfortable in a photo op inside the Elysee next to a stone-faced Trump." The report noted that while the US president-elect expressed a desire to expedite resolving the conflict, Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron, and other European leaders are still hoping to persuade Trump to maintain support for Ukraine and achieve a resolution aligned with Kiev's interests.

Trump traveled to France to attend the opening ceremony of the restored Notre Dame Cathedral, rebuilt following the devastating 2019 fire. The meeting between Trump, Macron and Zelensky concluded after 20 minutes, with no joint final statement issued.
