WASHINGTON, November 23. /TASS/. The US-India relationship has hit some headwinds that are related to Russia and BRICS among other things, First Deputy US Secretary of State Kurt Campbell said.
"I think it'd be fair to say in recent months we've hit some headwinds. Some of those headwinds have to do with domestic politics. Some of them have to do with different perspectives on the nature of their engagement in Russia, or how they think about the BRICS," he said at a seminar at Washington’s Center for Strategic and International Studies (this organization’s activities are recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation).
"I would simply say how important it is for us to keep our attention on the horizon and to recognize that we are bending the trajectory of the US-India relationship in very positive ways. And I know everyone in the Biden administration <…> is extremely proud of what's been accomplished in bilateral relationship and embedding India more in a multilateral framework, and wants to see that continue in the next administration," the diplomat noted.
