Denmark to give Ukraine $1 bn in military hardware

STOCKHOLM, December 14. /TASS/. The Danish government has held consultations with advisers on additional support for Ukraine. The fourteenth aid package includes tanks, air defense equipment, drones and counter-drones, and ammunition worth over 7bn kroner ($1.02bn), the Defense Ministry has said.

In addition, Denmark is allocating 1.75 billion kroner ($256 million) for the purchase of defense industry products to meet Kiev's needs.

"It is essential that purchases from defense industry companies are based on Ukraine's specific military support needs. I am glad that so many Danish companies support Ukraine. I constantly talk to representatives of the Danish military industry about how best to use the scale and power of the economy in terms of military donations to Ukraine," said Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

The fourteenth aid package of 7 billion kroner is for the period extending from 2023 to 2026.
