NEW YORK, December 6. /TASS/. Former US President Donald Trump said he would not be a dictator except for Day One if he is re-elected in 2024.

"I want to close the border and I want to drill," Trump said at a town hall event in Iowa hosted by Fox News.

The United States holds a presidential election in November 2024. On April 25, the incumbent 46th US president, Joe Biden, declared his candidacy for re-election. Trump announced his campaign for a presidential term in November 2022.
