Magnitude 6.3 earthquake hits southeastern Turkey

No reports about casualties are available so far

MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. A magnitude 6.3 rocked Antakya in Turkey’s southeastern Hatay province on Monday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.

Meanwhile, the Haberturk television channel reported on Monday that a 6.4 earthquake hit the Hatay province causing damage to buildings.

According to Turkey’s Emergency Management Agency (AFAD), the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 16 kilometers. Tremors were felt in neighboring provinces, as well as in Syria and Lebanon.
