MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. The Festival of Russian Culture will take place in three African states, Zambia, Tanzania and Ethiopia, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Culture reported on Thursday.
"The festival is intended to popularize the diversity of Russia’s cultural heritage and will introduce the foreign audience to the best examples of Russia’s unique vocal folklore performed traditionally and in modern adaptation as well as the popular pieces of musical academic art," its statement said.
Additionally, the festival will include a photo exhibit of picturesque locations of Russia’s Far North. Visitors will view the landscapes of northern parts of Russia, from the Murmansk to Kamchatka Regions.
The festival is held to bolster intercultural interaction with African countries on the eve of the second Russia-Africa Summit which will take place in St. Petersburg in 2023.
