China to support UN’s key role in international relations – Chinese top diplomat

According to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Beijing supports the "correct path of economic globalization", opposes the creation of artificial barriers and wants to build an open global economic system

BEIJING, November 7. /TASS/. China will firmly support an international system that is anchored by the United Nations, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Monday during a video link with UN General Assembly President Csaba Korosi.

"In the face of global turmoil, China will firmly support an international system centered around the United Nations Organization, an international order based on international law, and the fundamental norms of international relations based on the goals and principles of the UN Charter," the Chinese foreign ministry quoted him as saying.

China, according to Wang Yi, supports "the proper path of economic globalization," stands against creating artificial barriers and wants to build an open global economic system. He also emphasized that China is against unjustified interference into the domestic affairs of other countries and calls for respecting the path of democratic development independently chosen by each state.
