TUNIS, April 12. /TASS/. The navy of Iran’s elite military force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), will prevent all military vessels from crossing the Strait of Hormuz, the IRGC Navy command said in a statement.

"Any attempt by a military vessel to cross the strait will be thwarted firmly and resolutely," reads the statement, published by the Tasnim news agency.

The IRGC Navy command also denied reports "about the passage of American ships via the strait."
