Information about US biolabs in Ukraine sparks big concern in world — Chinese diplomat

The COVID-19 pandemic reminds of the critical importance of biological security that has no borders, Ambassador Dai Bing noted

UNITED NATIONS, April 6. /TASS/. Information about the US-run biological laboratories in Ukraine has raised considerable concern around the world, Ambassador Dai Bing, China’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, said on Wednesday at the Arria-formula meeting of the UN Security Council hosted by Russia on the topic of the US military biological programs in Ukraine.

"Russia has recently published some documents about the US military biological activities, which have generated enormous concern in the international community. The COVID-19 pandemic reminds us of the critical importance of international peace and security, and biological security that has no borders," he said. "Any information about military biological activity should be in the spotlight of the international community."

"China welcomes the fact that the international community is assessing the published documents," the diplomat said.
