Majority of Americans think Trump doing good job as president so far

The majority of respondents describe Trump as a tough, energetic, committed and efficient leader, and believe that he is following through on his campaign promises

NEW YORK, February 10. /TASS/. More than half of American citizens believe that US President Donald Trump is doing a good job as president so far, according to a joint poll from CBS and the YouGov pollster.

The survey shows that 53% of Americans approve of the job Trump has done in his first weeks in office, while 47% have the opposite opinion.

The majority of respondents describe Trump as a tough, energetic, committed and efficient leader, and believe that he is following through on his campaign promises.

The survey was conducted on February 5-7, among almost 2,200 respondents. The margin of error is below 2.5%.

Republican Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on January 20. He won the election on November 5, 2024, defeating Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris.

Trump previously served as the American leader from 2017-2021. He became the second person in US history to serve non-consecutive terms as US president. Previously, only Grover Cleveland (the 22nd president from 1885-1889 and the 24th from 1893-1897) had done this. Trump was the 45th and is now the 47th president of the United States.
