Russia's strength lies in its diverse, multinational nature, 70% of Russians say — Kremlin

According to Magomedsalam Magomedov, young Russian servicemen taking part in the special military operation at the line of engagement and those actively helping them in rear areas are now ably demonstrating this

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Two-thirds of Russians believe that Russia’s ethnic diversity and multinational nature make the country stronger, Russian Presidential Administration Deputy Head Magomedsalam Magomedov said.

"In reality, the vast majority of Russians, 70% - these are the official figures - believe that our multinational nature makes us stronger. This has always been true and will always be true," he said, adding that Russia's Western opponents, on the contrary, try to portray this factor as a weakness.

"Today's hardships in the face of such a strong, united Western enemy have shown that it is precisely at such moments that consolidation takes place. This is the centuries-old tradition of our common civic Russian life together [within a single Russian state]," the Kremlin official pointed out.

Magomedov quoted Russian President Vladimir Putin: "Russia is indeed a big family; we can even say a family of families." The senior official elaborated: "For decades, different peoples [in Russia] have been living in peace and harmony, so the diversity of cultures, languages and traditions does not tear the country apart, but, on the contrary, brings it together." "And any difficulties can be overcome together," Magomedov added.

According to him, young Russian servicemen taking part in the special military operation at the line of engagement and those actively helping them in rear areas are now ably demonstrating this. "This is happening in all regions; this is being done by all peoples of our country," he concluded.
