MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. The situation on the Russian labor market is generally stable, Russian President Vladimir said Putin on Friday.
"In general, the situation on our labor market is generally stable," the president said.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said earlier on Friday that the number of officially registered unemployed in Russia decreased from 602,800 to 590,300 people in a week. The number of unemployed does not exceed 0.8% of the total number of workers in the country, she said as quoted by her secretariat.
"The situation on the labor market remains stable, in particular, thanks to timely and ongoing preventive measures to support employment. The registered unemployment rate has remained at 0.8% over the past weeks. Employment centers have registered 590,300 unemployed citizens, which is by 12,000 less than a week earlier. We continue to keep the situation on the labor market under control," she said following the meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the situation on the labor market.
