Hostages in Ukraine held by neo-Nazis who were trained by NATO — diplomat

Now the graduates of those Western programs, alongside other nationalist combatants, are holding civilians hostage and using them as human shields, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova pointed out

MOSCOW, April 20. /TASS/. Requests for assistance in freeing the foreigners held hostage by Ukrainian neo-Nazis often come in from those NATO countries that have helped to train militants under special programs, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Wednesday.

"Now the graduates of those Western programs, alongside other nationalist combatants, are holding civilians hostage and using them as human shields," she said. "Incidentally, there were a lot of foreigners among the hostages, and the governments of their states called the Russian Foreign Ministry and our embassies asking for assistance in freeing their citizens. We can provide assistance, but they are held hostage by those who were trained in NATO."

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman pointed out that those "NATO cadets" who had been trained in NATO countries or under the guidance of NATO instructors were torturing, maltreating and executing those people who were suspected of having a liking for Russia or even just a normal attitude towards it.
