MOSCOW, May 14. /TASS/. More than 14.8 mln of Russians over the age of four saw the TV broadcast of the military parade, marking the 73th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the Mediascope market research company reported on Monday.
According to the data provided by the research company, more than 8 mln people tuned into Channel One to watch the parade, while the Russia-1 channel’s broadcast was seen by more than 3.9 mln people.
The Russia-24, TV Center, NTV, Zvezda and Mir channels also aired the military parade.
Mediascope added that the broadcast ratings (average number of people watching the program expressed as a percentage of the total population of the audience surveyed) reached 21.3%, while the audience share (average number of people watching the broadcast expressed as a percentage of all people watching television at that moment) reached 72.1%.
The company also revealed that more than 16 mln people tuned in to see the "Minute of silence" ("In honor of the memory of the fallen soldiers fighting against Nazism") broadcast transmitted on all Russian channels at 18:55 on May 9.
