THE HAGUE, June 15. /TASS/. NASA administrator Bill Nelson on Wednesday praised cooperation of mission control teams in the US and Russia and cosmonauts and astronauts onboard the International Space Station.
"Russian cosmonauts and American astronauts are all very professional," he said at a news conference that was broadcast on the website of the European Space Agency. "The fact is that the international partnership is solid when it comes to the civilian space program."
In early June, the executive director of Roscosmos for manned space programs, Sergey Krikalyov, told reporters that the sanctions that were imposed on Russia partially affect the work of the ISS. According to the official, logistics has become more complicated, but planning of seat-swap flights and joint work on the ISS continues. On Wednesday, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin said that Roscosmos contacts with NASA and ESA representatives are continuing despite political differences.
