Energodar administration reports 9 Ukrainian strikes on Zaporozhye TPP, industrial area

No injuries were reported to emergency services, and the damage is being assessed, the city military-civilian administration said

MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out nine artillery strikes on the Zaporozhye Thermal Power Plant area and Energodar industrial area with US-made howitzers, the city military-civilian administration told TASS Tuesday.

"The military-civilian administration of the city of Energodar reports nine artillery strikes on the city industrial area and the Zaporozhye TPP," the administration press office said.

According to the administration, Ukrainian forces used US-made M777 howitzers. No injuries were reported to emergency services, and the damage is being assessed.

The city of Energodar and Zaporozhye nuclear and thermal power plants, located in the city, were repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian forces, which used artillery and drones, among other means. Damage to certain infrastructure objects around the NPP led to shutdown of all six reactor units.
