Military police ensured safe rotation of IAEA experts 12 times in 2024

MELITOPOL, February 18. /TASS/. Military police officers in the Zaporozhye Region ensured the safe rotation of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) 12 times in 2024, Lieutenant Colonel Ruslan Balakishiyev, the region’s deputy military commandant, said.

"I believe that ensuring IAEA rotations is a unique mission entrusted to the military commandant's office in the Zaporozhye Region. Notably, this is an international mission. As the regional military police, we are unique in our own way as we are the only one who perform this mission and do it in a professional, courageous and effective way. In 2024 alone, the military police and the military commandant officers in Energodar and Vasilyevka ensured 12 safe rotations of IAEA personnel. Notably, IAEA rotations often coincided with visits by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. Despite the Kiev regime’s attempts to use various weapons to undermine this mission, military police officers continue to perform it with honor and courage," he pointed out.

Balakishiyev added that the Ukraine army had tried several times to undermine IAEA rotations.
