MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. The situation with inflation in the country gives rise to concerns Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Q&A session combined with his annual press conference.
"Yes, certainly, inflation gives rise to concerns," the head of state said.
"There are certain problems in place with inflation, I reiterate, a kind of economic ‘overheating.’ Our government and the Central Bank are already setting the task, so to say, to ‘gear down’ this pace. I think we should have about 2-2.5% next year, according to different estimates. Such ‘soft landing’ in order to preserve macroeconomic indicators. This is what we should seek after," Putin noted.
The situation in the economy in general is "stable and reliable," he added.
