MOSCOW, March 16. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call with his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Vladimir Putin spoke over the phone with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko," he said. —

Their previous telephone conversation took place on March 2 after the parliamentary and local elections in Belarus. According to the Kremlin press service, the two leaders discussed current issues of bilateral relations, cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries.

According to the Belarusian president’s press service, Lukashenko and Putin spoke for about one hour. Among the topics were issues of cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), as well as international topics and the situation in the region.
