Russian, Turkish top diplomats ‘synchronize watches’ on Middle East, Ukraine

The schedule of upcoming bilateral contacts was also discussed

MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan ‘synchronized watches’ on the situation in the Middle East, Transcaucasia and around Ukraine on the sidelines of the G20 foreign ministers' meeting, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"The ministers ‘synchronized their watches’ on a number of key regional and international topics with a focus on the situation in the Middle East, Transcaucasia and around Ukraine. Interaction on international platforms was considered," the ministry said.

In addition, the top diplomats discussed issues from the bilateral agenda, including trade and economic cooperation, implementation of energy sector projects.

The schedule of upcoming bilateral contacts was also discussed.
