Russia does not rule out additional rise in number of flights to Cuba — Lavrov

If there is demand for Cuba’s travel services, the issue of additional flights will be solved, Russian Foreign Minister said

HAVANA, February 19. /TASS/. Russia is ready to increase the number of flights to Cuba if there is demand among tourists, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

"If there is demand for Cuba’s travel services, the issue of additional flights will be solved," he told a press conference following talks with his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla when asked a respective question.

Rossiya and Nordwind air carriers regularly fly to Cuba now, the minister noted. "Rossiya has regular flights, while Nordwind has charter [flights]," he said, adding that "a total of 10-11 flights per week" are performed now.
