WASHINGTON, March 4. /TASS/. Ships of the US Navy will begin escorting tankers in the Strait of Hormuz if the need arises, US President Donald Trump has announced.

"If necessary, the United States Navy will begin escorting tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, as soon as possible," the US leader wrote on Truth Social.
