MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to meet with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in early 2024.
During the combined Direct Line Q&A session and year-end press conference, Putin said that he had planned to visit Turkey to meet his counterpart, but President Erdogan could not manage to pencil it in.
"We [with Erdogan] are arranging that maybe this visit may take place at the beginning of next year," the Russian president said.
"We stay in constant touch with President Erdogan on these issues. We have very close positions. I think we will meet after all. I am indeed planning [a visit]," Putin added.
