BEIJING, November 20. /TASS/. Moscow and Beijing are developing relations in all areas, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov said at a meeting with China’s Deputy Prime Minister Ding Xuexiang.
"Despite the difficult foreign economic situation, Russian-Chinese relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation have now reached an unprecedentedly high level and continue to develop in all areas," he said.
According to the Russian official, relations between the two countries "are built on a solid foundation of reciprocity, respect, equality and trust, non-interference in internal affairs, facilitation of each other's development and prosperity." Belousov said Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping held two face-to-face meetings this year, during which they set the goal to continue strengthening investment cooperation.
The Russian official arrived in the Chinese capital on Monday to participate in the intergovernmental Russian-Chinese commission on investment cooperation. He held a meeting with the heads of Chinese companies that are participants of the Russian-Chinese advisory committee, which operates under the auspices of the intergovernmental commission.
The Russian delegation included representatives of the Economic Development Ministry, Industry and Trade Ministry, VEB.RF, RDIF, certain regions, along with heads of companies and business associations.
The Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission was established in 2014 at the initiative of the leaders of Russia and China. Its key mission is to facilitate the implementation of investment projects outside of the energy sector and reduce administrative and trade barriers between the two countries.
