The only defense in such a situation is the utmost distance from the line of engagement which is precisely what Ukrainian armed formations are doing, officer of the DPR’s People’s Militia Andrey Bayevsky said

DONETSK, October 30. /TASS/. Ukraine’s armed forces are unable to ensure the defense of their firing positions and have to pull their multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) away from the line of engagement, an officer of the DPR’s People’s Militia told TASS.

"The adversary cannot ensure air defenses over the areas of artillery firing positions. Accordingly, the only defense in such a situation is the utmost distance from the line of engagement which is precisely what Ukrainian armed formations are doing," - Andrey Bayevsky said.

Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly urged the West to supply Kiev with air defense systems. On October 13, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that the Ukrainian army had only 10% of the needed amount of such systems.
