Russia strongly denies Albania’s charges of strikes against consulate in Kharkov

Maria Zakharova stressed that the Ukrainian leadership was using terrorist methods

MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Russia emphatically denies the Albanian Foreign Ministry’s charges Russian forces have allegedly damaged the building of the country’s honorary consulate in Kharkov as a result of missile strikes, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a news briefing on Thursday.

"We resolutely dismiss such charges," she said. "From the very beginning of the special operation in Ukraine we have stated quite clearly that the Russian army does not attack civilian infrastructure."

Zakharova stressed that the Ukrainian leadership was using terrorist methods: "They deploy combat positions and weapons to residential areas, from where they bombard urban quarters. They use civilians as a human shield and intentionally provoke casualties."

"The Ukrainian army impedes the evacuation of civilian population through the humanitarian corridors Russia has created. It is these actions and inhuman tactic that should be the focus of discussion. We demand impartial evaluations and truthful information for the general public," Zakharova said.
