TOKYO, May 21. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Japan and Russia rose by 2.48% in April year-on-year to 87.713 bln yen (around $607.6 mln), according to TASS’ calculations based on data released by the Japanese finance ministry.
Among the main categories in trade turnover are Japanese cars (20.15% of trade turnover) and Russian energy resources (35.97%). Supplies of cars to Russia fell by 19.4% in the reporting period, while deliveries of components lost 4.1%. Meanwhile, purchases of Russian LNG and coal increased by 22.2% and 10.5%, respectively.
Total imports from Russia rose by 5.6% to 57.177 bln yen ($396.5 mln), exports to Russia lost 3% to 30.536 bln yen (around $211.7 mln).
