Sales of Russian IT solutions in 2024 up to $55.2 bln — Minister of Digital Development

According to the document, the current share of the IT industry in Russia's GDP is 2.4%

MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Sales of Russian IT solutions and services increased by 46% in 2024 compared to 2023 and reached 4.5 trillion rubles ($55.2 bln), as follows from the report Minister of Digital Development of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadayev presented to the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament.

"The figures are quite good. For 2024, sales of domestic IT solutions have grown by [almost] 50% - a very significant figure for us. This means that the mechanics that we are promoting - the demand for domestic software, <...> equipment - are working effectively," the minister commented on the data.

By the end of 2024, the number of employees of IT companies in Russia amounted to 992,000 people, which is 16% more than in 2023, the report says.

According to the document, the current share of the IT industry in GDP is 2.4% and over the year it increased by 0.3 percentage points.
