ASTANA, December 6. /TASS/. KazTransOil increased oil supplies through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline to over 1.3 mln tons in 11 months of this year, the press service of Kazakhstan’s national operator on the KazTransOil main oil pipeline said in a statement.
"In January-November 2024, KazTransOil shipped 1,342,000 tons of Kazakh oil through the seaport of Aktau via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. In the same period of 2023, the volume shipped through this route was 910,000 tons of oil," the statement reads.
In December 2024, the shipment of Kazakh oil for further transportation through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline will be carried out based on the orders of shippers in accordance with the oil transportation schedule approved by the republic’s energy ministry, the company noted. This schedule foresees the transshipment of 122,000 tons of oil from the port of Aktau in December 2024.
According to figures provided by the energy ministry, Kazakhstan plans to export a total of 68.8 mln tons of oil this year. In 2023, the republic’s oil export amounted to 70.5 mln tons, while production reached 90 mln tons. The authorities plan to boost production to 100 mln tons by 2030.
