Ammunition plant reports capacity increase — Russian Defense Ministry

The majority of sections at the plant in the Nizhny Novgorod Region is working 24 hours a day under a three-shift work schedule, the ministry noted

MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. The chief executive of a defense sector plant producing and repairing munitions to the Giatsint artillery system reported the production facilities expansion to Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, the Defense Ministry said.

The Russian Defense Minister inspected artillery ammunition production at the plant base. "The chief executive of the undertaking reported the expansion of production facilities of the plant to Sergey Shoigu, with revamp and technical outfit of shells repair shop performed within its framework, along with new equipment mounting in a shop producing munitions for 122-mm and 152-mm caliber artillery systems," the ministry informed.
