MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Russia increased natural gas production by 6.8% in January 2024 compared to the previous year to 55.7 bln cubic meters, according to data from the Russian Statistics Service (Rosstat).
This figure is also 3.8% higher than the December 2023 value and is the highest since March 2022.
Russia’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) production in January 2024 amounted to 3.1 mln tons, which is 12.9% more than in January 2023 and 4.6% lower than in December 2023.
Associated petroleum gas production in January increased by 6.6% to 9.4 bln cubic meters.
Thus, total gas production in Russia (natural and associated petroleum) since the beginning of the year amounted to 65.1 bln cubic meters.
