Gazprom ‘not offended’ over drop in supplies to Europe as gas prices soar, says CEO

In early March 2022, gas prices exceeded $3,800 amid fears of a ban on the import of Russian energy resources

ST. PETERSBURG, June 16. /TASS/. Gazprom bears no grudge for the considerable reduction in gas supplies to Europe, as prices continue to rocket, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller said on the sidelines of SPIEF.

"Yes, we have a decrease in gas supplies to Europe by several dozen percent. However, prices have surged not by dozens of percent, but several times. Therefore, if I say that we are not offended by anyone, then I will not be acting against my conscience," he said.

Earlier, Gazprom reported that from January 1 to June 15, 2022, gas exports to non-CIS countries decreased by 28.9%, to 65.6 billion cubic meters. In early March 2022, gas prices exceeded $3,800 amid fears of a ban on the import of Russian energy resources.
