Russian delegation invited to Interpol’s General Assembly — president

The session will open in Vienna on November 28 and will last until December 1

VIENNA, November 28. /TASS/. Interpol has invited Russia to send a delegation to the 91st session of the organization’s General Assembly, Interpol President Ahmed Nasser al-Raisi said in an interview with TASS.

"For sure they are invited and we welcome them as other delegates coming to attend and participate in this important event," he said, when asked if Russia was invited to attend the session and the festivities to mark the group’s 100th anniversary.

The session will open in Vienna on November 28 and will last until December 1. It will bring together heads and representatives of law enforcement agencies from more than 190 member countries of the organization. Interpol was founded in the Austrian capital in 1923.
