MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. The Russian Federation will actively work on implementing cutting-edge technologies in the development of its army and fleet, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his Address to the Federal Assembly on Tuesday.

"We will actively implement the most advanced technologies which will ensure precisely the enhancement of the quality potential of the army and fleet. We have such developments and the samples of arms and equipment on every direction," Putin said.

He stressed that the current samples of armaments have significantly better properties than their foreign analogues and the goal now is launching their serial production. "This work is underway and its rates are constantly increasing," the Russian leader noted, adding that this is being done using Russia’s own research and industry and giving high marks to Russian scientists and engineers.
