Ukrainian forces left many bodies of fellow soldiers in Soledar — military expert

The bodies may be handed over to Ukraine soon, LPR Colonel Vitaly Kisilyov thinks

LUGANSK, January 31. /TASS/. Ukrainian armed forces abandoned a large number of bodies of their fellow servicemen during their retreat from Soledar, says Vitaly Kisilyov, a military expert and an LPR Colonel.

"A large number of dead bodies were left in Soledar. The Ukrainians did not take their former brothers in arms with them," he said. The officer speculated that the bodies may be handed over to Ukraine soon.

On January 19, Kisilyov said that Ukrainian forces engaged 14 brigades on Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) and Soledar directions, with about 60%-70% of personnel lost fighting Russian forces.

On January 12, Soledar was liberated from Ukrainian forces. According to Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov, total control over this city makes it possible to cut supply lines for Ukrainian forces in Artyomovsk, block and encircle the forces that remain there.
