Russian troops destroy up to 250 Ukrainian servicemen and fighters in Kupyansk direction

Enemy manpower and equipment were wiped out

MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. The Russian armed forces have pushed back to their initial lines the attempted attackers of the Ukrainian armed forces and mercenaries in the Kupyansk direction, up to 250 Ukrainian soldiers and militants have been destroyed, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said on Sunday.

"In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy with the forces of up to two battalion tactical groups reinforced by foreign mercenaries launched seven unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Russian troops in the areas of Pershotravnevoye, Orlyanka, Tabayevka and Berestovoye settlements of the Kharkov Region. The Russian troops, with artillery fire, air strikes, and active actions managed to push the Ukrainian units back to their initial positions," Konashenkov said.

According to the spokesman, enemy manpower and equipment were wiped out. "Up to 250 Ukrainian servicemen and fighters, one tank, six infantry fighting vehicles, four armored personnel carriers and eight vehicles were destroyed," he added.
