Almaz-Antey was systemically preparing for Western sanctions — CEO

The company will have to pass through a challenging period after numerous sanctions were introduced against Russia by the US, Europe and some other countries, Yan Novikov underscored

MOSCOW, April 25. /TASS/. Almaz-Antey was systemically preparing for sanctions of Western states and is ready to deliver the state defense order in such conditions, CEO of the Russian defense sector company Yan Novikov said in an interview with the Natsionalnaya Oborona [National Defense] magazine.

"Yes, it will be difficult economically. We were gradually preparing for unfriendly steps of our ex-partners and understand that the evolved situation cannot but affect our life. Whatever hardships are in place, the unconditional priority for the holding remains completion of tasks of the state defense order and, certainly, people," the top manager said.

Almaz-Antey will have to pass through a challenging period after numerous sanctions were introduced against Russia by the US, Europe and countries siding with them, Novikov noted. "I am confident we will get through this time," he added.
