Russian Defense Ministry publishes losses of Ukraine’s National Guard

On April 18, the Defense Ministry made public the first lists containing personal data of Ukrainian soldiers killed in action

MOSCOW, April 19. /TASS/. The Russian Defense Ministry has uploaded to its Telegram channels more lists of the names of Ukrainian soldiers, killed during Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.

"We continue publishing some statistics concerning the losses sustained by Ukraine’s National Guard, based on real Ukrainian documents. Today we make public evidence of heavy losses of Ukraine’s Pyotr Doroshenko 1st brigade of Ukraine’s National Guard (military unit 3027) as of March 29, 2022," the news release says.

According to the Defense Ministry, the obtained documents contain information about killed and wounded soldiers and those who committed suicide, the circumstances of their death and the burial sites. On Monday, the Defense Ministry made public the first lists containing personal data of Ukrainian soldiers killed in action, including dates of birth, ranks, and the circumstances and sites where they suffered lethal wounds.

Also, the Defense Ministry said it had information about a large number of deserters from the Ukrainian army, those wounded and listed missing and information about the real losses of the Ukrainian army, the National Guard and foreign mercenaries.

Earlier, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that the irrecoverable losses of the Ukrainian army and mercenaries were estimated at 23,367.
